The Unitarian

Small Group Ministry, as a way of "doing church" and accomplishing ministry
has application in nearly every aspect of congregational life. For this reason there is
no one department of small group ministry at the UUA. Instead, you can find small group
ministry and covenant group resources being developed by a wide range of UUA offices and
departments.
Congregations
Selection of UU church websites with SGM pages. Seeing what other churches are
doing is a great way to get oriented to small group ministry. Check out some of these
sites. If you find another good one, send it to us.

ONLINE RESOURCE DIRECTORY
This Online Resource Directory includes articles and other publications on this site and links to similar material on other sites. For example, the articles in the Quarterly are on site and are included in this Directory. You can search for items by title, author and topic. To explain the Directory a bit:
Title: The title of the article, without “the” or “a/an”. Author: The writer of the material, frequently followed by the location of the writer, as given at the time the article was written. This may not be the current location of the writer. Source: The original location of the material, giving location followed by year, such as:
CGN = Covenant Group News, followed by month
CCV = Center for Community Values
Q = UU Small Group Ministry Network Quarterly, followed by Wi (Winter), Sp (Spring), Su (Summer), and Fa (Fall)
UUA = Unitarian Universalist Association, usually followed by ‘web’ indicating links to that website.
Web = If there is no other notation, this refers to this web site.
Bk and date = item is in a book published by the UU SGM Network. For example, bk2008 is Unitarian Universalist Small Group Ministry that was published in June 2008. and the year. We hope to have subsequent volumes about annually.
Topic: This is a general description of the content, intent, or specific group/purpose of the item. These are somewhat arbitrary, and some could fit several categories. A few need some explanation:
SGM = general information about the concept of Small Group Ministry or Covenant Groups
Overview = information on developing and implementing a program
SGMN = specific item about the UU Small Group Ministry Network
